For nearly 25 years, Diesel nacional has been the ideal place to share moments with friends or enjoy some time alone. Located in La Paz, the highest capital city in the World and one of the "7 Wonderful Cities of the World," Diesel Nacional has firmly established itself as a classic venue in the city's nightlife.
A passion for metals, machinery, and art inspires this unique space. The remnants of machinery and vintage objects are creatively repurposed to showcase the art they embody. Combining these elements with natural concrete, brick walls, and wood, all set against striking metal galleries, creates a surprisingly inviting and warm atmosphere, enhanced by cozy fireplaces and soft, indirect lighting.

"El lugar es muy bonito, con personalidad y fiel a su concepto. Mejoraría el tamaño de las mesas y la iluminación, los tragos estuvieron bien, cumplidores. La tabla parrillera para dos las carnes bien y los vegetales no tanto y su carta de vinos no tienen todo el stock"

"Not a Happy Diner"
"Our visit was most exasperating. We began as the evening’s first customers and the music almost blasted us out. As we were seated, we asked for it to be lowered but after a while, it still wasn’t. We moved to the back so it wouldn’t be so loud and eventually, it was lowered a bit. After a few minutes, we placed our orders, a copa of Havana Club rum and a pisco sour. It took a bit for the rum to arrive but more than a while later, still no pisco sour and no staff in sight. Mind you, we were the only customers. I finally located our waitress and prompted her for the pisco upon which we heard the blender. Why wasn’t it made and served at the same time as the rum. We ordered one dish to share and that took at least 45 minutes in which we had to prompt our waitress again. Once everything was served, we never saw her until we finished. What is it with Bolivian servers who disappear until you ask for the check? Other restaurants were similar in their protocols. Glad we head back to Lima mañana."

"A local.friend brought usa here for a drink and we really envoyer it. The cocktails they offre are really good and the atmosphère of the place os totally unique! Gube the bar a try!"

"Super original bar serving (well made) cocktails and beer/wine. There is a restaurant area and food is grilled on a big BBQ outside. The atmosphere is fun with music playing. I went there alone and enjoyed the drinks and people watching ! Recommended."

"Cool bar food not great"
"Very cool bar that we were looking forward to visiting. Had a barbecue outside which looked brilliant. I ordered a steak but our server never even asked how I wanted it cooked, which was a bad sign. The steak came on a skillet which meant it was over cooked by a long way and I left most of it. They never even asked if there was a problem. Won’t be back."

"El lugar tiene un concepto muy bien definido. Todo es metálico como las vías de un tren. No esperábamos encontrar un lugar tan cool cuando entramos. La comida es muy buena y las bebidas son preparadas de una manera muy profesional"
